Where was the tension? It was only people screaming while you could hear chittering noises, nothing scary at all

They were pretty inconsistent with what qualified as "light" and what didn't, I have to say.

Pretty good for what it's trying to accomplish. Keep things good and dark and never really show you the monster works effectively. the cast does a good enough job and the movie flows at a good pace. Why the cover has Wes Craven's name on it when he has nothing to do with the movie is rather dirty publishing.

Interesting premise, lackluster execution and an awful ending(though the alternate ending is pretty good.) Not one of Wes craven's best by far.

Every bit of dialogue was psychobabble. Well and good, but even my one semester of Psych 101 had me screaming "bullshit!" at every single line. Kind of boring too.

This movie was only mildly scary. I wish they had let the role of the main heroine's childhood friend develop more. Even though the ending feels like it could come straight out of a real nightmare, it makes everything feel inconclusive and I felt the characters and the viewers deserved more. It needed more back story too.

Don't try to set a scary scene in a municipal pool.

Old-fashioned horror film whose primary thrills come from identifying with the terror of the protagonists. Most horror films these days rely, instead, on our identifying with cool and increasingly more bombastic and expensive special effects. Here, we get characters, scares and not a happy ending. Oh no, not at all. Robert Harmon directs the actors with yes, empathy. For more time, a lot more fun than American Horror Story.

I don't remember hating this movie. If I remember correctly, the "monsters" in this movie are similar to those demon things from "Ghost." Check it out if you have nothing better to do.

Tooth fairy? No that was darkness falls... Which movie about the dark being evil is this. Shit I don't even know. It was scary. It was forgetable. Wes Craven automatically wins it some points.
