Gordon Liu plays Beggar Su, whose family's wine business is threatened by the appearance of a deadly thief. The plot of this lesser-heralded Shaw Brothers flick has some unexpected twists and turns, the sets and costumes are detailed and vibrant, the cast is excellent, and the martial arts are all good if somewhat generic. Other than a bit of Tiger Style displayed early on, most of the kung fu is more reminiscent of the "swingy arm" style of action more prevalent in the early 70s. Not bad.

Too goofy for my taste and doesn't get really good until the last 10 minutes which is a shame since this had a great cast.
