More stylish action direction but the overdone music and the tired "stolen Yagyu scrolls" make a come-back.

A nice return to form after the slight disappointment I had with the 3rd film. The interactions between the various characters were the best parts of the movie for me and reminded me a bit of some of the Zatoichi films. The best part of this film is that it left me wanting more fun adventure featuring Jûshirô Konoe as Jubei.
