The Wrecking Crew

Watching this will make you glad that the next planned Matt Helm movie ("The Ravagers") was never made.

Holy shit, Elke Sommer's entrance is basically her in a neglige walking right into the camera. Tina Louise's involves stripping at a go-go club. Sharon Tate's dress flies above her head. Dean Martin's... well, he's at least clothed, though he'll forever make me think of your stale smelling uncle who gets a scotch and soda at the bars by 11 AM every Sunday. Pretty much only worthwhile if you just want to stare at beautiful women... which is obviously fine with me.

I thought this was suppose to be a comedy, but all I saw was a slightly campy James Bond clone.

Hoje li uma postagem no blog do David Cairns em que ele colocava os filmes do James Bond como chauvinistas, os do Derek Flint como sexistas e os do Matt Helm como misóginos, acho esse olhar bem apurado, é constrangedor como as mulheres são tratadas aqui, especialmente a personagem da Sharon Tate - aí você falarão: é essa a questão da comédia, do humor da sua personagem, e eu lhes direi: NÃO FODE. Just a dumb movie that's not trying to be much else so I can't give it too low of a score. Dean Martin being Mr Cool in 1969 is quite a stretch but that's what Hollywood was at this time; completely out of touch with what its audience wanted
