Almost entirely horrible and boring, but there are a handful of hilarious bits (the cat attack) that are worth seeing.

Well, you can call it male intuition if you like but it could have used some more buxom broads showing off their new young bodies, but that's a minor quibble. Overall it's an understated script with an understated cast with an overstated monster. Somewhat refreshing with Susan Cabot being a sympathetic monster and a mad scientist who truly just wants to help. [Cinematic Titanic shows that they still have their chops when given well aged Corman meatiness. One of their best.]

The premise is promising, but unfortunately none of the potential 'shock' and 'excitement' is realised in any satisfying or meaningful way. The highlight is the interesting chit-chat between the secretaries, in particular when they discuss the dual libidinal/anti-libidinal potential of (1950s) television.

It has a solid performance by Susan Cabot and the cheesiness one expects from a Roger Corman B-movie while being decently directed still, but unfortunate takes too long to get to the good stuff; the wasp woman attacks.

Would never have guessed this was a Corman film, save for the opening titles. All around kind of worthless. That being said, I really like the wasp costume, it is more like a insectoid devil than any wasp creature but it is extremely effective nonetheless.

Janice Starlin really just needed to fire all of her male employees and this could have all be avoided. Another one of those campy b/w horror movies that still manages to unsettle me to my core because of how relevant it still is nearly 60 years later.

Cabot puts on quite the performance here. I like taping these Sci-fi things off of TCM and this was prob the first one i really enjoyed.

"The Wasp Woman" had me entertained for the first half of the movie, then it totally lost me. I understood where it was going, but I just didn't care.

Sadly there isn't much to this one. The eponymous Wasp Woman and the science of turning guinea pigs into rats are forced to take a back seat to 1950's sexism and business politics that are about as exciting as watching honey drip.

Awful soundtrack, stupid plot. The costume and cat attack are a joke. And this movie is about wasps. What I don't understand is why they used in-between stock footage of bees.......

Less fun than some similar creature movies, it is only saved by the acting (surprisingly good for a film like this) and some decent ideas such as the aging beauty queen who will try anything to remain young and beautiful. As I said, decent ideas, not revolutionary. Overall it's too long and slow to be really enjoyable.

One of the first from soon to become king of B-movie land, Roger Corman. It oozes with lower quality , which is usually not a real problem but because this film is so old it becomes a serious one. Everything from the acting, the effects, the scripting is awful. A monkey could have done it better ( it would have to be a monkey from 2011 tho, not from the fifties) ... And the fact that its black an white... only for the die hard fans of the genre or the director.

Lesser Corman... not bad, but not very memorable, either.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of people who liked this movie, but I thought it was pretty good. The idea of this scientist helping a cosmetic company owner return her youthful looks is interesting and then she turns into a wasp. She sort of resembles the fly, though. I liked this movie, and would suggest taking a look.

Pretty bad. I can't see myself watching this again. I did laugh once or twice though!
