The Wandering Earth 2

Easily as good as the first one. It's about the dialog I think.

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first film. It felt very long. The writing seemed worse. The dubbing was all over the place, with some character continuing to speak as they left the scene and different narrators seemed to come in at random times to explain what was happening. It was harder to suspend my disbelief in regards to the scientific liberties taken too. The CGI is very ambitious in its scale and I felt hit a good visual style, it was not too videogame-y.

I dunno why the built-in spoilers. X days for that shit. N hours for other shit.

I thought the 1st one was ambitious. Well, this one goes several times over. If you can manage to sit through the first 20 minutes of utter confusing chaos, it's quite worth the watch. The cinematography is amazing, the story arcs and acting is boring. Good Saturday evening entertainment.

Is it Chinese propaganda and idealistic humanism? Yes. Is it also a good movie? I think so.
