The Violent Years

Only Ed Wood could manage to write a BAD movie featuring a reverse gang rape.

The cast seems to be actually trying to be as wooden as possible. As such, it's even more inept that you would probably suspect. Its chief virtue is that it is the foundation for the excellent Ministry song "So What"

While Ed Wood didn't direct this, it sure feels like it - looks like he managed to find another director as bad as he is. The moralizing is terrible and distracts from the unintentional hilarity of the rest of it, especially that rape scene.

When Ed's just doing it for the paycheck you know it's going to be a drag. While the crimes spree itself is rather inventive compared to other JD films the dialog is atrocious (and not in a Plan 9 way either) with the last act being a drawn out overly long lecture against parents. [MST3k had some great if bizarre skits. Pairing this up with the polar opposite opening short was genius too. The riffs are great here and the boys don't skimp out just because it's Wood they bring their all.]
