Better than the first Tales from the Crypt. In the sense than a punch in the face is better than a kick in the face.

A surprisingly mediocre anthology film with the final story being the highlight. The wrap around was pretty boring as well.

An okay film, basically saved by the performances of Terry-Thomas and Tom Baker.

The least interesting Amicus anthology that I've seen. While "Tales from the Crypt" had a high point (And All Through The House) and a low point (Blind Alleys), the stories in "Vault of Horror" were uniform in their mediocrity. Some- such as "Midnight Mess"- had potential, but failed to capitalize on their strong concepts. It is worth noting that I was watching the "Midnite Movies" release, which is apparently a butchered version of the movie, and jarring cuts were evident throughout.

Not as good as Tales From the Crypt, but still an enjoyable anthology horror film.

A classic horror in a similar style to other productions made around the same time and a sequel to Tales of the Crypt. The stroies are intertwined quite well with the meeting of the five characters and each of the stories told are good, some more graphic than others, but each recreating that chilling type of horror so familiar with these kinds of films. Overall The Vault of Horror provides an enjoyable viewing despite its age and is definately worth a watch next time it happens to be on the box.
