This has the look and feel of a Chinese TV film or condensation of a TV series. The anti-Western message was hammered home in almost every scene. The Wong Fei-Hung character has usually been presented as a little up tight but here is arrogant and preachy. The fight scenes are pretty sparse for most of the movie which was very disappointing. The fights do get better as the film goes on but even the fights have a TV feel about them.
