The Unguarded Hour

The Unguarded Hour tries to be a clever little film about blackmail and consequence. Things happened a little too convenient for my liking, but it was a interesting case of destiny and circumstantial evidence, something which Franchot Tone & Loretta Young would learn too. This has solid back-up by Roland Young as the friend. Not forgetting Henry Daniell the blackmailer coming off sleazy in a gentlemanly way. While not a spectacular film, it has a interesting story which makes it a worth wild.

The plot of this movie kept entangling itself in clever ways I was not expecting, I was caught by surprise and pleasantly amused. It certainly feels like a play.
