Colorful high-pitched musical. Mostly funny because their real life feelings between Kathryn Grayson & Mario Lanza mirrored that on the screen. Provided enough entertainment, without it being anywhere near Grayson's best.

As someone who has worked in opera for over 3 decades, the notion that his in any way resembles how one becomes an opera singer is quite amusing. Pauline Kael: "Whoever it was who thought of teaming Lanza with Kathryn Grayson had a streak of malignant humor." Apparently, Lanza annoyed Grayson so much she refused to to ever work with him again. Thanks for evening the score a bit, Mario... Grayson is insufferably irritating, while Lanza has at least a rough-and-tumble charm. And that voice!
