Even without knowing anything about the story going in (as I didn't), the title lets you know the basic situation, as if to say, "Even if you already know something's up, you'll still struggle to understand how any of this could be possible, so is it really so surprising that people could fall into his trap?" Well put together (in that Errol Morris-lite style that has become standard), this benefits greatly from the likeable participants, especially Cecilie, who is charming and quite delightful.

I’ve heard about this type of conman before, and to see the lengths to which he's prepared to go to scam his victims is fascinating. Unfortunately it’s a typically overlong Netflix documentary: Time is wasted hearing virtually the same story repeated by two different women, where I’d have preferred a longer epilogue on what crimes he’s technically guilty of committing, if there are any civil cases against him, and what’s being done to bring him to justice.

I thought this was very well done, and I was quite fascinated throughout - so there's nothing I would edit out. I really liked the women and felt for them.

Classic Netflix, overlong but interesting story. Story of women are detailed but it would be a lot better if we had more detail about present-day Simon and why he didn't have any charge brought against him for fraud.

Spoilers ahead! Starts a bit boring but evolves to an interesting story and it was sad to watch those girls lose so much to that asshole. It was also sad to see that they weren't compensated and he didn't really pay his dues. Guess the irony of "justice system" is that it is either a sarcastic or cynical term, depending whether you need it to work or you work in it. I did read a piece of good news today, and that is Leviev family is suing the creep. Hope the billioniare lawyers eat him alive.

Shocking resolution to the tale. The world is full of unhappily-ever-afters.

Most con stories have you scratching your head at how the victims fell for it. What makes this fascinating is just how well oiled his con-machine was, so that you can completely understand how the victims were had. The guy is a piece of shit, but you do have to appreciate the brilliance. I'd be remiss not to mention that Ayleen is a total boss.

So many things probably should have raised many and assorted red flags. Interesting. Glad they finally caught him, too bad his time in the big house was so short.

I'm still sour about the fact that the SOB got away with his hustle. Yeah, few measly years in prison but he got millions out of it. Punishment didn't fit the crime and the ending of this documentary was emotionally dissatisfying. He still lives his million dollar lifestyle while the women are stuck paying humongous debts for the rest of their lives. We need international laws to curb these assfaces.

The editing was messy as fuck sometimes, but it's a pretty entertaining documentary nonetheless. Nothing really amazing but it's okay-ish.
