did you have popcorn? I'LL POP YOUR CORN! *whomp* *sound effect* nyuk nyuk nyuk *slide whistle* *repeat for two hours while I hoot n holler in the empty theatre* But, hey, you dont need to end your movie with a disclaimer about how the violence isn't real. If some idiot kids want to smash each other over the heads with hammers and gouge out their eyes in the name of slapstick we're all a lil stronger in the end. It's a weird feeling when Will Sasso is the best actor in a movie.

I have never been a huge fan, so naturally this wasn't really my thing. I will give it this, the leads all give it their gusto. There is no half-assing this.

It's a true throwback to the originals, as it's pure slapstick and idiocy from beginning to end, but it actually works. The no-holds-barred joke explosion won me over, and while it's got more than its fair share of groaners, it's not the disaster it looked like it could have been.

Every time they lifted schtick straight from the Stooges I laughed like a drain, but the problem was the material connecting these pieces. It was fun seeing the Jersey Shore cast getting their eyes poked but their very inclusion proved that this wasn't going to be timeless like the timeless comedians they were trying to capture. Instead it's a forgettable summer-comedy take on the Stooges, that will be a lot more fun if you're watching it with the kid audience it was made for.

The Three Stooges were always far more effective in shorts than films, so it's no surprise that this 'tribute' effort doesn't really work either. The cast are game and quite funny at imitating their respective Stooge while bringing something of their own to the table, but the story is too cliched and sentimental and just not funny enough; and the attempts at upgrading the Stooges for the new generation are painful. Hard to believe it was a pet project for the Farrelly's. It feels rushed.

Three morons and a lot of dopey acting round out this tribute to the Three Stooges. Acted with some reverence for the originals, but the plot wears thin with many strange twists thrown in. The plot get convoluted and the ending defines schmaltzy. The slapstick aspects were not as funny as the originals. There were a few laughs to be had but they are mixed in with too many bizarre antics that fall flat or are simply not funny.

I confirm two things:1. Yes, it's totally stupid and 2. you will laugh several times (unbelievable, I know but nevertheless the truth).

I've seen very little of the actual Stooges, but this attempt at reviving them doesn't stand too well on its own. There are good moments here: some solid physical comedy and a good bizarre moment or two (they try raising fish on a golf course), and the new Stooges themselves inhabit the roles likably well. But the script is awful; a painfully hackneyed story with far too much cheap sentiment, shoddily directed and badly edited. All this could be forgiven if it was truly funny...but it's not.

The inclusion of Jersey Shore was a huge mistake. The film is already dated because of it. Aside from that this film is nowhere near as terrible as I was expecting. Although it falls victim to several of the less-than-appealing Farrelly Brothers style. The main actors are fantastic and the slapstick is on point. It's not worthy of the legacy, but it at least didn't destroy it.

The three leads do an excellent job embodying the essence of "The Three Stooges," but that doesn't mean much because I never found them to be funny anyway. When they aren't hitting each other, there can be some good moments of physical comedy here and there, but the the physical abuse comedy takes center stage here.

I thought there was enough to this crude comedy to keep it going. It's by no means a great or maybe even good movie but it kept me entertained for its runtime.

Here's the reality of this flick. I didn't SMILE until almost 20 minutes into the thing. Some of the physical comedy and a line or two was pretty okay, but the majority of it is as you would expect - trying way too hard to be funny and lacking any real investment incentive whatsoever. I can only imagine what hardcore or even casual fans of the original Stooges feel about this garbage. But it can't be a positive association. I don't dislike the people in it, I just dislike most everything else.

It's corny and cringe-y, but the slapstick is generally executed very well, and there were more than a few genuine laughs to be had. I'd mark this down as a win - it's far better than it could've been.

Sue me, I liked it. I admit I'm probably inclined to give most of the groaners a pass for at least trying to stay faithful to the original.

This is...a Three Stooges movie. It could honestly stand on its own next to any of the shorts the boys made in their prime...which, I suppose, is both a good and bad thing. Several genuine guffaws to be had here, along with more than a few moments of dead air. Hardcore Stoogeaholics will lap it up, I suspect, along with most gradeschoolers; everybody else will likely find it a mild ordeal. I liked it when Moe hit that guy.

it may not have anything new like the original series, The Three Stooges will entertain everybody who stayed to watch the show, Sasso, Hayes, and Diamantopoulos keep the film moving, and if anyone can bring back the stooges, its the Farrelly brothers.

So much better than I thought. The three actors who portrayed the Stooges put a lot of time, work, effort and pride into their performances and it shows. Everyone was laughing and having a good time watching this. Well worth checking out.

For younger kids, it might be funny but I don't think I laughed once. I usually love stuff by the Farrelly brothers but this just didn't do it for me. The three leads did a good job but it just felt too on the nose for me. I watched a lot of The Three Stooges when I was a kid. I've seen this stuff. Watching three guys who have also seen that stuff just reenact it doesn't appeal to me. The supporting cast was good too but they just didn't have much to work with script-wise.

I think they did about the best they could with The Three Stooges in modern day, but that resulted in a movie that is just alright. More interesting in the movie is all the different more famous people that were almost cast as the three stooges instead.

The new update is hardly what people to see. Since the trio's best trait is slapstick, however, the Farrelly brothers are well-experienced to do justice on that front. This is pretty much the best we'll ever get, and we'll be glad to go along with it.

I saw this movie for the first time this past weekend. I had avoided watching it because of all the bad reviews. I thought it was pretty close to what I remember the Three Stooges shorts being like. I admit the plot was poor or silly, but it's the Three Stooges.

A little gem about not only disability, but the artistic innocence of these three guys' performances, that might seem just silly today -- sound effects, cartoonish violence, physical jokes and human-sized dolls. Lines like Call 411 or Fire in the neckhole are not funny, but they make sense in the Farrellys' respect to classic comedy as a a collection of quick staged acts (here, we have three). A lion's nuts being hit and Sofia's breasts make even more sense.

Watching this under the...influence...was one of the strangest and most surreal experiences I've had in a while. The level of awfulness was elevated to where I began questioning if the film was so-bad-it's-good. Nope, just bad. +5 for Sofia Vergara.

The audience is treated to a new presentation of the Stooges' classic humor, played with uncanny aplomb (and unexpected sweetness) by Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso. I can't say why, but I was especially impressed with Sean Hayes as Larry Fine. I guess it's sort of the way having a favorite Stooge has always been: there's really no way to explain it, and if you could explain it somehow, you would feel silly doing it.

So it may not be the most glowing review in the world when I say that this wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting, but it was actually kind of entertaining in a "shut off your brain and laugh at the dopey morons" kinda way.

One of the closest things to a fever dream I'll ever see on a screen. As a lover of the Stooges, it's more than satisfying for me; there are some brilliantly choreographed sequences of slapstick that really accentuate just how endangered the style has become. There's also some stuff that's obnoxiously Farrelly-esque but it's worth swallowing just to get to the next flurry of comedy violence. I don't expect anyone else to understand why I love it.

Ok, well, I watched this while I was drunk and still only laughed about three times. It's just not my cup of tea, humor-wise. Nevertheless, I can't truly hate it the way I hate, say, The Bourne Legacy, because whatver I may think it's definitely not a soulless cash grab. There's genuine enthusiasm for what the Stooges are and represent oozing from every corner of this picture. It's an almost touching cinematic love letter. Just not a love letter addressed to me.

I liked this way more than I expected. Besides the inclusion of awful Jersey Shore cameos and Larry David in a weird role as a nun the movie is pretty damn funny for slapstick fans. Considering how well Sasso, Hayes, and Diamantopoulos embody the roles this easily could (and maybe should) have been a biopic. I still enjoyed myself but it seems very few people share my view. Oddly enough, Sofia Vergara does her most toned down acting to date in a film that's based entirely in absurdity.
