The Three Investigators and the Secret of Skeleton Island

I enjoyed the book series as a kid, so I had high hopes when I discovered this was out there. A little bit Indiana Jones, a little bit Encyclopedia Brown: three kids uncover some wacky bad guy's plot to steal something. The kids aren't all that memorable and the humor often falls flat. Adults will find it tolerable, but if I'm honest, I would have loved it as a tween (even as I would have been screaming "that's not in the book!").
