For a concept this immensely silly, the end result isn't crazy enough. Takes 45 minutes to get going and it's played too straight most of the time. I was laughing my ass off during the dirtbike racing scenes though. You don't see a two-headed guy being chased by 20 police cars every day. Unless you live next to a nuclear power plant.

"The Thing with Two Heads" is a blaxploitation film that explores a unique premise where a racist individual finds himself with his head attached to a black body. Initially, I anticipated a production with a limited budget, but I was optimistic that it would push boundaries. However, what unfolded was a manhunt involving a two-headed fugitive, with surprisingly little dialog between the two heads.

The strangest blaxploitation film ever. And there's no discernible reason for it to exist. They didn't even have a full plot. More time is spent on the motorcycle/cop chase than there is on the seemingly inexhaustible story that is a racist getting grafted onto a black man.

The movie is weirdly funny. A movie that is mind-blowingly out-of-the-box.

The setup takes up way too much time, the ending resolved nothing within literally seconds and the main part of the movie is a ridiculous chase scene that has nothing to do with the rest of the movie.

I'm probably damaged from watching Green Book, so I was expecting to see a story about the racist head and the black head finding some common ground. This is not that, so... yay? On the other hand, they spend such a large part of this movie on a single chase scene that it seems like they were running out of film and had to skip most of the actual plot resolution.

Really fun knock-off of Incredible 2-Headed Transplant, starring Oscar winner Ray Milland.

What a waste. So much potential here but they really don't do anything with it. Also might have the worst chase scene I've ever seen.

Not bad. It's poorly paced and not as silly as a movie with a concept this outrageous should be, but it delivers several laughs and has a really fun motorcycle chase scene.

A white, racist doctor has his head attached to a big, black criminal as they attempt to escape every police car in USA riding a motor bike with another doctor accompanying them on the back. Great film!

Considering how absurd the premise is though, it actually doesn't deliver enough laughs. A long, serious first act and a super-rushed third act detract from any so-bad-it's-good fun, but the second act is all pulpy goodness. They sure had a blast trashing all those police cars.

Extremely slow start, but when the shit hits the fan, it hits hard. That police car chase scene deserves a 100 points, it's one of the most awesome chase scenes ever made in film history. Oh happy days!

The biggest issue with the film is that it can't find its tone. It tries hard to play everything pretty straight, and succeeds rather well for about half the film even though it never truly impresses. Then in the second half it wastes time on a silly chase and wraps up the plot in like three scenes, wasting the potential for a decent film but never delivering on the promise of silly ridiculous fun.

So preposterous, so funny. Note how all of Lee Frost and Wes Bishop's movies manage to squeeze in a dirt bike scene.

The inspired box copy says it all: "They share the same body...but hate each other's guts!" Nobody involved is taking the material too seriously.
