Schlock-movie producer J. Pierpont Ginsburg, after declaring, in a Yiddish accent, that "talking pictures are in their infantry," decides to put all of his savings into a big-budgeted musical, starring the sensation of Paris (with a bad French accent), Adore Renee, and a swishy leading man, Reginald Whitlock. Meanwhile, his daughter, Judy Ginsburg, gets involved in a romance with Ginsburg's Gentile lawyer, John Applegate.

While I found this more interesting than entertaining there were still a surprising amount of scenes that I found funny.

A early talkie about the days of the early talkies! A precode comedy about a movie producer and his challenges during the transition to sound. They even did the faulty sound-synchronization gag! This had verbal laughs about every unspeakable topic. A ton of lame one-liners that was so bad they were funny! And naturally this was filled with awkward staging and overflowing with show numbers featuring Fay Marbe in between Nat Carr's comedy act. I felt it had a lot of charm for a primitive musical.
