The Substance: Albert Hofmann's LSD

Moves a bit slowly but does an excellent job in objectively describing one of the most over-demonized substances of modern times.

What is the nature of the effects produced by psychedelics? Are they processes that go on in your head all the time, like dreams, that you just aren't aware of without a little help, or are they produced by the substances, or are they really a glimpse to a brand new layer of reality? We still don't know the answer to that, since research has been forbidden for decades. It's one of the greatest crimes against humanity that people aren't allowed to search for the answer by themselves.

A bit slow paced. However it does give a nice and honest history of the substance. As an informative documentary it succeeds pretty well. How I wish history had taken a different turn... Hopefully one day people will wake up and society's accepted poisonous substances and ideals are replaced by substances and ideals we are meant to use and support and the physical world will be a lot better for it.
