It's Seltzer and Friedberg. 'Nuff said.

There isn't a single moment worth watching The Starving Games for. There isn't even a single scene or line that is worth checking out on YouTube. If you pay good money to see this movie you are financing evil. Pure evil. An evil the likes of which hasn't been seen since ... May 2013, when the third Hangover got released. There are no laughs in The Starving Games and even the most devoted film masochists will be disappointed by its waste of money and time.

That’s right. I’ve yet to see like half of AFI’s top 100 films list but I set aside 80 minutes to watch this shit

Yeah, we all knew what we were signing up for when we watched this. But who the fuck greenlights this shit? And who writes the jokes? Like, 1000 monkeys sitting at 1000 typewriters? Still, fuck me for watching this. Now excuse me while I grab a glass of Drano to wash it all down.

There is nothing about this film that works. The cinematography is awful, the acting is horrendous and my IQ drops by even thinking about it. Not a single joke lands, and it is my least favorite movie of all time.

There is like, one good joke in the entire movie (the Middle finger part). The rest of the movie tries entirely too hard to be funny, and fails miserably. Also, why didn't they name her Catpiss or something? That would have been loads better than the boring name they chose.

A very funny spoof of The Hunger Games.

This may show improvement from the duo, but it could also just be me remembering their other movies to be worse than they really are. Maybe it could fall under guilty pleasure for me, but if Epic Movie was as crazy as I remember, this would be a lot less of a guilty pleasure than that.

They don't drill far enough in the actual comedy well (mocking the sports broadcasting, like BASEketball), and the constant sound effects and pop-culture asides are as bad as ever, but it does have its moments. It mostly feels like a missed opportunity.

Another alarmingly repulsive, trite parody from the Seltzer-Friedberg pairing. As always, I recorded how many times I chuckled or snickered in this one and am disappointed to report the number three. Once was during the James Cameron joke, another during the Carl's Jr. bit (the low-fat dressing was legitimately amusing), and finally when "Nick Fury" berated "Hawkeye." That technically makes this better than Superfast, but not by much. Avoid this one at all costs.

Simply irredeemable! This time-waster is devoid of humour or anything that comes close to acting. If you need a parody fix, watch 'The Hungover Games' instead.

Sadly the bloopers were about the funniest thing in this movie.

To be honest, I found it quite funny and enjoyable, if absolutely ridiculous. But to recommend it to others is a totally different issue.

The best jokes are near the end so make sure to watch the whole thing. Trust me, it's worth enduring the parts that are dumb and kitschy.

Not going to make it through all of this. Remember when we used to make funny spoofs?

The screenwriters cum directors pretty much just crammed as many TV/movie references and gags as they can into this sorry excuse of a movie. I did find Cleaver Williams (the purple-haired commentator) and the Rue-equivalent to be pretty funny, and I actually thought Kantmiss and Dale's appearance/wardrobe is pretty good. But the rest of the movie is as tiresome and puerile as it gets.

Unlike the decent 'Hungover Games', this is just a very poor spoof of The Hunger Games with pop culture references mixed in.

Friedberg and Seltzer continue on with their new strategy, from making "parodies" with random, incoherent, irrelevant references, to doing the same thing in the context of a legally-not-plagiarized plot. While they don't reach the abysmal depths that they once achieved, that distinction is meaningless, as this is still genuinely awful. That this contained as many as 5 amusing moments is an improvement, but it is negated by the surreal horror of seeing an Expendables reference in the year 2013.

All the laughs, half the calories. This movie has got some pretty bad reviews. I could easily torch this movie but I'll just bake it lightly...
