The Singles Ward

Lazy repackaging of old Mormon jokes (Mormons eat Jell-O! Isn't that hilarious?) with amateurish acting and direction. The numerous, pointless cameos by Mormon "celebrities" don't help, either. Dumb and unfunny.

One of the early attempts at "mormedy" (Mormon + comedy; I'm hoping that will catch on). As usual the acting is on par with a high school play, the plot is as thick as cardboard but there's still something oddly charming about these suckers.

With some familiarity with Mormon culture, I understood much of the humor; but never having attended a "singles ward" I couldn't relate to it.
