The Sign of the Ram

Rising MGM starlet Susan Peters had been accidentally shot in 1945 and paralyzed as a result. Being wheelchair bound one would think her career would be over, but she did get one last shot and she was quite good in it. Naturally she plays a wheelchair bound young lady, a manipulative one, and what we get is a fairly subtle and effective drama. She definitely steals the picture, so it's a shame she didn't get another chance. Her health continued to crumble and she died in 1952. She was 31.

Interesting family drama with a great lead performance.
