A blatantly absurd premise, with large doses of inadvertent humor sprinkled throughout.

Beyond the fact that it has a made for 50's TV feel and the guilty party instantly recognizes a cat as a witness to be reckoned with this is a fairly well paced old dark house chiller. The way the conspirators react in mass hysteria and the cat carries out its plot is all so overt is a good chunk of the fun. This is also slightly more raw and graphic with the opening murder scene and later stunts throughout the film. Perhaps the low budget allowed for more leniency from the ratings board. Rent.

A Sombra do Gato estreava há 60 anos no Reino Unido. Com um plot desses de gato vingador há zero defeitos nesse filme. Só quero que meus gatos me vinguem se eu morrer assassinada! BlurayRip HORIZON.

From the premise, I thought this might be unwatchable. Well, it was actually fairly well crafted and though not really scary, the effects and music helped to lend an eerie vibe.

Beware of the cat! Everyone's afraid of the kitty, at least if they are feeling guilty about taking part in amurder. Kind of fun with crisp black-and-white moods and a very oldies feel. The way people get killed is funny most of the time, but having the cat exact vengeance was just a cool thing to see. Similar stories were later shown in 'Cat's Eye' (1985) so I got a whole big déjà vu -feel while watching this. Tabby is a good girl!

This certainly isn't great cinema, but call me crazy is this isn't just the BEST time. Just absolutely delightful. It plays to modern eyes like a brilliant horror comedy. It's not a so bad it's good movie--everything in it is excellent except for the absurd and hilariously executed premise. I laughed out loud more often than I do at most comedies. Deserves to be a cult classic.
