The best Tracy movie I've seen thus far, it's a shame that more people haven't heard of it. If you have not seen this movie, I would suggest you try to find a copy, because this is a must watch.

Never heard of this one, and it is outstanding. Spencer Tracy delivers again another phenomenal performance. Though the subject matter is very dismal, overall the movie offers hope.

The Seventh Cross (1944) was an amazing film for a long while. Noir style, on the run from Nazis, with someone with the massive personality like Spencer Tracy. What could go wrong? I'll tell you. They removed the danger. Instead of adding tension and suspense, everyone he met was a friend and a enemy of the Nazis. Like it was a "hope story" where no one sympathized with the evil Third Reich. Perhaps the right choice while in war for propaganda purposes. Wrong turn as far as delivering classic.
