The Sentimental Bloke

A simple fable of redemption so frank and earnest, it requires your inner cynic to die to itself for full appreciation. Our Bloke begins gambling, homeless, and in prison, yet when released spends a few intertitles appreciating nature in boorish rhyme - a poet and he doesn't know it. Seeing a woman focuses his energies on redemption, eventually transcending his lot in life. Base, yes, but I teared up. If fully accepted, its moral simplicity is a virtue.
