The Secret of the Whistler

The twists in this one aren't particularly surprising but they're fun anyway. I still don't think a whole lot of Dix, but either he got better as the series progressed or I've gotten more used to his strange acting style which fits the slightly off kilter tone of these films. It's nothing special, but these Whistler films are nice light fun. Compact little stories with a hint of cleverness, though not as much as they could be.

Sweet turn of events for the ending, but this was mostly a talky Whistler rather than a visual one. Still good and worth a look, but I wouldn't have minded more creativity, like some of the other entries in this Richard Dix series.
