When 13 year old Maria Merryweather's father dies, leaving her orphaned and homeless, she is forced to leave her luxurious London life to go and live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she didn't know she had, at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Do not recommend. It is a film with a very derivative and with a probably cheap production, with special effects that are not good, bad visually, with poor performances

Being kinder since it's a kid movie. Original fairy tale story, though the lack of budget shows in some of the effects and costumes. There is a pacing issue however, and some of the acting too. Some kids might like it but not all

Victorian-esque/medieval(?) fantasy movie not emotionally engaging. Enola Holmes is a much more entertaining Victorian adventure movie to suggest over this
