3rd Dr. Kildare with Lew Ayres & Lionel Barrymore, and it's not as good as the first two. Kildare's special case is simply not interesting, and even neglected in the narrative. But it's the relationship between everyone that's the root to the enjoyment of The Secret of Dr. Kildare (1939). Barrymore is as stubborn and insulting as ever and Ayres is still his personal sucker.... as always.

a run of the mill kildare/gillespie movie, which is to say, decent. there are a couple kildare movies that everyone should see, but this one is not one of the best.
