Based on a book of the same name, this film made heavy use of time-lapse photography (where you can see plants grow in a few seconds, creepers reaching out to other plants and tugging on them, mushrooms and flowers popping open, etc.), certainly in order to portray them as animate beings. Contains some interesting information and nice time-lapse images, but they're surrounded by an odd combination of Stevie Wonder sing-alongs and remarks by people of questionable sanity. Amateurish and doesn't stay on-topic, but I found it nevertheless worth my time.
