The Scarlet Car

The film is pretty good up until the finale which gets a bit too goofy for my taste.

Maybe not half as goofy as the far-fetched plot merits, but there's plenty of commotion and excitement, about as good a rain-drenched night sequence as you're apt to see from 1917, and Lon Chaney in a relatively big makeup role from before his days as a main draw.
