The Rural Demons

Henry Lehrman, who was not necessarily a very funny comedian, had quit Keystone soon after the arrival of Charlie Chaplin, after directing some of the legend's first films. Here later the same year, Lehrman had started his own company The L-KO Kompany. And this was one of those films. Co-starring with Billie Ritchie, in rural Chaplin-esque characters with that facial hair. And they create a little mayhem fighting for the same girl. Very crude slapstick stuff without any real vision.
