The Raging Moon

If a bit crude cinematographic execution by today’s standards, the dialogue and character depictions are excellent. I particularly loved a scene where our main protagonists, who are both disabled, are mandated to attend a fundraiser event. They are tired of being talked down to and loudly begin to make retorts about the abled people in the same fashion they do of them. “How do they manage on two feet? Must be awfully tiring! Poor walking people, I pity them for having aching legs!” Poignant!

An unsentimental love story about two disabled people. What a rarity. Malcolm McDowell and Nanette Newman (Mrs. Bryan Forbes) are both very good here.
