Politically correct or not, I was kind of drawn to the anti-immigration absurdity from the land of immigrants. You don't see much of Frank Borzage's touches, but you have "Mr. Charlie Chan" himself, Warner Oland, in one of his earlier oriental roles. The message might be populistic, but the film itself is a equally braindead thriller, so the message is harmless. Entertainment value is so-so, but with a appeal considering everyone that's behind this.
