Here Republic Picture exploits an idea of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and a bunch of authors write a story about a rich man who disappears with his fortune and fakes his death. The mystery bit was cool, kind of like a noir style story, but then it just turns out to be dreadful political propaganda in disguise with people coming out of the depression era by working together! Yeah, that was pretty lame.... I guess it was part of the compromise for using President Roosevelt in the credits.
