The President

By focusing tightly on the relationship between the titular dictator and his grandson, we only learn about the president's crimes obliquely, as if we were subjected to a controlled media. Thus we can only judge him on the basis of our witnessing his humbling flight to safety abroad (and a bit of dictatorly foolishness at the start). The ending is a bit flat, and a bit too obviously reflexive.
