The Physics of Sorrow

"Out, out, brief candle! Life's but... a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." The Physics of Sorrow falls into the trap of pretentiousness with its nascent listings, deep-voiced Sutherland narration, and ultimately unhelpful introspective on life. The use of encaustic painting in the animation is interesting, but I can't say it was particularly good (either to watch or to underscore a theme). Once the candle is out, the wax is dry, and I've lost 27 minutes.
