The Phantom of Paris

John Gilbert is based on Houdini or one of his copy cat acts. He's wrongly accused of murder, but being the escape artist that he is, you know the police can't hold him and we follow him on his quest to reveal the real killer. This starts strong, but I didn't love the ending portion as much. Regardless this had excellent actors and true beauties. Prettiest of all Leila Hyams! She looked absolutely stunning. There is no hiding that this was John Gilbert's movie through and through.
