So cheap, so dumb. Has about 3 sets and the lamest, goofiest alien creature I've seen in ages.

Cheesy, but I've always enjoyed this movie, even on MST3k

Relatively competent for a B-movie, if unremarkable. The plot is derivative (pulp's beloved "fall for/fight for/leave alien woman" trope that Star Trek would later run into the ground), but between the campy effects (the towering, doglike "Solarite" is a costumed Richard Kiel!) and a couple beautiful women I can't say I was particularly bored by it.

Look closely at the scene in front of the gigantic space helmet. You can clearly see wood grain. That epitomizes this movie.

Just about the lamest special effects in human history. I mean, flying popcorn and fondue sticks on fire--that's about it, right? And those ping-pong ball Solarians (like the guys in Killers From Space).
