I've no idea why Pat O'Brien was considered a prize specimen among men in the 1930s. He was usually cast way above his athletic ability. Here as a boxer with a tough dame as his manager - Glenda Farrell. But of course boxing is crooked and O'Brien a sucker, so that blows up in his face. This one is mildly enjoyable, but it never shakes off that programmer feel and watching O'Brien's fighting skills was absurd!
