Griffith comedy ("Ladies' hats are so big and silly these days!"—see also: Those Awful Hats) meets Griffith cross-cutting chase excitement as everyone needs someone to blame for the sudden disappearance of a baby under a hatbox. Truly, one may see how universal are the insights of genius, for here Griffith has happened upon the same truth shown to the world by Hideo Kojima decades later: people really are too dumb to pay heed to the actions of a cardboard box.
