The Patriot

I'm going to remain calm during this and I hope I don't get slammed for this but: The Patriot is not bad. It's not good. It gets caught somewhere in between in the sustained single watch. Seagal as usual dishes out his array of fighting and combat procedures and the plotline while being criticized for being deficient and cretinous by many fellow and respectable people, is not as worse as you would think. Come on, give this a break. It's not like it was intended to be a A-list action movie.

I haven't seen a whole lot of Seagal movies, but "The Patriot" is a pretty entertaining action/thriller, Seagal might not be the best actor in the world, but he beats Norris' denim clad woodenness. If you pay any attention to the grapevine stories about him, you can bet your sweet ass he probably tried to say this was a true story based on his life.

Steven Seagal in the role of a lifetime as the classic; cowboy, naturist, martial arts, bio-chemist, single caring father, doctor. Seagal thought he was being so cool with his doctor uniform.

Poor Seagal, he's always just trying to live his life and then someone comes along and fucks things up. Poor guy has to save the world again.

Absolutely NOTHING happens.

The Patriot is one of the most pointless and directionless films I've ever seen. I'm guilty of enjoying the first 4 or 5 Steven Seagal films but this is up there with some of his worst films. Seagal is like a dog with a bone when it comes to these threat to the environment films with the occasional martial arts sequence thrown in. I have no idea what the message of this film was meant to be. I think the only person that could of enjoyed this film is Seagal. Completely pointless.

Steven Seagal kills an entire millitia with a knife and saves the world with tea. Yeah right.

Steven Segal is a great actor with his martial arts he kicks butt in this one.
