Egon and the gang are hired to stage a robbery of an antique Chinese vase for an economically challenged baron. Naturally they fooled, which infuriates Egon. The gang tries to get back at the baron by switching the vase with a cheap Hong Kong copy. One attempt is made during the barons hunting party, where Egon ends up being bricked up in the catacombs. In another attempt, the gang has to coordinate breaking through several walls at The Royal Theater in Copenhagen with the "Elverhøj" overture. (Summary by d_r_e_s_)

Rightly considered one of the very best instalments. The script is streamlined, and the gags and set design (e.g., at the baron's castle) are terrific. And then, of course, there's the famous 'Rabbit of Seville' setpiece at The Royal Theatre. As usual, the gang is on form throughout, and Kirsten Walther is once again priceless.

If the chase at the end of the first movie is the forgotten dark horse of the series, then the theater break-in set to Kuhlau's overture in this one is the undead horse. To be sure, it would probably earn the movie a 75 by itself, but this movie also has some other scenes almost on par with that one, an equally as batshit-insane. Did someone say buried alive breakout? Essential viewing for any dane or student of danish cinema.
