Watxhable espionage thriller, nothing special though.

Another forgettable flick with an interesting premise that predictably goes nowhere. It's kinda watchable for the most part but there's nothing you haven't seen before: plot points are contrived; any mystery that is present quickly gets sucked out with the utterly unnecessary flashbacks spelling out e-x-a-c-t-l-y what's happened; and the 'shot in the back' fantasy scene is ill-fitting and insulting to the viewers. For a genuinely talented actor, Cusack does make an awful lot of shit.

I enjoyed this one. A spy thriller starring John Cusack.

I want to say "okay" because of Cusack and Akerman but all I can say is: .... Oh but why...?!

Not suspenseful, bad action, flat and unlikable characters who hilariously sum their low-on-personality selves up in about 10 seconds, completely straightforward and unexciting. Despite all that, I didn't dislike it all, but I think it benefited from being the first completely unambitious film I've watched in a long while.

The Numbers Station has a decent premise but the characters, performances, plot, action and script aren't intriguing, gripping or thrilling enough for this movie to be good. It does have a few things going for it, but not enough to make it memorable.

Entirely watchable straight-to-video style thriller that achieves what it sets out to within its own extremely modest scope and budget.

It's very slow for an action film and it doesn't have much thrill to it. The Numbers Station couldn't decide if it wanted to delve into the main character or provide action. It ends up not doing either very well. My wife hated John Cusack's makeup and commented on it all through the movie.

By my count this is at least the third time Cusack has played an assassin who develops a conscience of sorts. None of them are great; this is not the best.

A fitting title for this by-the-numbers affair. No, I did not just say that.

I like this movie's low scope. There aren't a lot of players, there aren't endless waves of generic bad guys, there isn't a forced romance angle, the action takes place in a constricted space, and there's a focus on atmosphere. That said, Cusack's performance crosses the line from a believable portrayal of a burnt-out agent into 'disinterested' territory. There wasn't a huge amount of effort put into this movie, but I appreciate its lack of sloppiness.

Fun way to pass some time. Malin is cute as almost always, and I do enjoy Cusack. It's another by-the-numbers flick, where enemies lay siege to a building and the hero has to save the day, but oh he's cold and damaged, but this girl is more positive and shit. Was I entertained? Yeah, I was. Was I surprised at all? Nope. Text book movie, but you know that's not always a bad thing.

I think the writer of this movie F. Scott Frazier needs to change his name to sound less like a famous writer because this movie wasn't really well written at all. Malin Akerman was good in this but John Cusack's character had no inner light at all and it made watching this movie less than fun. Most of the movie takes place in a dark underground bunker with a lot of red lighting and there just isn't any good plot points or dialogue to keep you interested, the movie was just a lot of blah.
