After an extended stay in England, Sophie Lang returns to America. She is beautiful, sophisticated--and a notorious jewel thief. Not much of a budget, but a charming little jewel thief romance. It's the first I've seen of short-lived the Sophie Lang franchise, but it as fun enough, making the most out of a simple set-up. Lead actress Gertrude Michael isn't someone that's been much on my radar, but she does a swell job here. She would return in 1936 and 1937 for follow-ups on Sophie Lang, and I'll be sure to watch those too.
