If God stuck its finger through your navel and pulled out your cartoon doppelganger which thereby began to sing to you German arias that reassembled the order of significant temporal happenings in the world you knew, it still wouldn't be close to how deliberately banjaxed and adoring this man was, despite the ovulating similarities I have nonetheless induced.

"Andrew Horn compellingly chronicles Ziggy-Stardust-cum-Dieter avant-gardist Klaus Nomi's ability to tap into a missing link in the New York music scene." - Ed Gonzalez

While this documentary is not as entertaining or mind-bending as its subject, Klaus Nomi, its quick ending mirrors Nomi's life and career well. Still, I have several complaints. First, I wanted more interviews with Nomi's friends, not just his ex-bandmates. Second, I wanted a better understanding of the controversy with RCA France. Finally, I wanted a better idea of what his final days were like. It is a tragedy if this is to be the most complete telling of his life's story.

Interesting story of a highly talented--and overlooked--individual. However, it does drag in spots and could have used some more editing.
