The New Road, Part Two

While not as strong as the first part this is a good conclusion to the story.

Saw Akemi's side of this romance a couple of weeks ago. Wish I had waited until I got this second part, telling the story from Ryota's point of view, to see clearly the differences they add to the story. Regardless, both films are fairly standard as far as Japanese dramas from the 1930s, and Ryota's part does little to change that. It's still a gentle courtship.
