The Mystery Of D.B. Cooper

A very flawed documentary that is pointless. It had a bunch of people claiming their family member had to be D.B. Cooper because of some erratic behavior on their parts. It is almost all pure anecdotal accounts with no evidence. I agree with the other reviewers a better documentary would've been centered around the psychology of why these people think their friends/family are a famous criminal rather than what this churned out which was as factual as ancient aliens

A short runtime prevents this from being terribly comprehensive, failing to actually penetrate the psychology of all these people who see D.B. Cooper in the holes left by absent relatives and friends. It's a compelling idea.

Make no mistake the story of D.B. Cooper is fascinating, fascinating, fascinating. But this film goes from conjecture, to weird conjecture, to crazy conjecture. Make a documentary on the psychosis of people wanting desperately for their family member or friend to be D.B. Cooper. That would be more interesting than giving crack pots a platform to create all levels of delusions -- and we have to sit through it as if they have any level of authority on the subject.

Mostly pointless "documentary" where people come out of the woodwork to tell us how their uncle/brother/father/neighbour/cousin/handyman looked and acted odd around the time that DB Cooper guy disappeared with not really that much money.
