Congrats to Zombie for getting this made because I am unclear who this is for. Are there that many Munster fans out there? Yet, with very little knowledge of the original, I found a bunch of this quite charming. Over the top performances, good aesthetics, and goofy as hell. The plotting is a complete mess.

Rob Zombie spending 20 years making movies full of rapists and killers "I know what children want" Sheri Moon is too fucking old to be playing the undead. It looks like porn. Every other shot seems to be tilted, and it's nauseating. The references are all hilariously outdated, if you have a four year old who hollers for Mack the Knife this is for them. To be 100% honest I'd rather have these references over shit like ... why is Herman flossing

Holy Crap Rob Zombie seems to get worse with each movie. In my opinion, he isn't that good at horror but he is atrocious at comedy. I couldn't tell if the acting was really that bad or if it was bad acting mixed with the terrible dialogue that gave me the migraine.

Mostly silly. Not the demographic this is for.

Not nearly as bad (or as interesting) as its trailer or color palette might have one believe but still by no means good. The script understands the Munsters well enough even if some performances are lacking but it isn't nearly capable of capturing the same endearing fun of the original series.

Sherri Moon was really miscast in this, which is no surprise. This was quite a spectacle, a lot of it is so bad that it's hilarious but it didn't really make a lot of sense to me. I can kinda see why Rob Zombie would eventually make a movie like this but, the execution is way off. It looks like a spirit halloween commercial, the lighting and campiness give me huge Batman & Robin vibes. I think campy stuff could be fun but this was too long and was mostly a misfire.

Great visuals, silly and dumb humor, I was oddly entertained anyways, this might be one of those so bad it's kinda passable movies.

The saturated colors and set design are awesome, but the script and pacing are just downright dreadful. Maybe if it had been edited down to a single hour tv special, I'd have enjoyed it more. The first 65% feels far too slow and boring. The last bit is pretty decent though. Outstanding performances from Daniel Roebuck & Richard Brake. And while I didn't entirely enjoy Jeff Phillips as Herman, I gotta give him credit for dialing up his performance to 11. Please stop putting Sheri Moon in movies.

The trailer suggested a car crash, but questions of relevance aside, it is actually kind of amusing to watch because it is unabashedly goofy and unlike anything else out there today. The dutch angles and saturated colours are a stab at 60's aesthetics via 90's video clips, and the claustrophobic, cluttered set design actually works in its favour. Zombie's script is episodic in a rather uneventful way, but the spirited performances carry it, especially Roebuck as the count/grandpa.
