The Mule

Based on actual events, the Mule is pretty much 2 hours of Hugo Weaving waiting for a guy to take a dump. And I enjoyed every minute of it. Bravo, Australia.

Despite a few moments of levity, The Mule is a depressing film. It's slowed paced; so much so that its decent ending can't salvage the film. The cast is good, though I spent a large amount of the film's runtime considering Sampson's suitability to play Trevor from GTA 5.

The Mule is a very uneven film. A very good cast and some very good performances as well as some poor ones. At times very crude with its humour then at other times it is very dark and gritty. The story is frequently contrived and unbelievable but it does have some good moments such as a solid ending ... and no that wasn't a bowel movement pun ;)

I did not know that if you are a producer, a co-director and a co-author that you will end that shitty part in the movie. To know that I warn you: almost entire movie was boring. The punch ending was nice though I guessed it as the only solution. But the biggest fun was to realise what Angus was really doing in the production. :7

Hugo weaving getting mad at someone for not pooping is a great premise to start off with when setting out to make a movie. This movie honestly almost made me puke, for those that seen it, I'm sure you can guess which part. Truly a disgusting life to lead. It was miserable watching this guys agony. felt genuine compassion. my stomach hurt for him.
