Interesting concept, and the scientists are mostly fun, but it doesn't actually reach the depths it could have reached, which is a pity. The science is mostly glossed over, that should have been given more attention.

One scientist meets with another in a different part of the world to learn what he/she does and compare notes. The 2nd scientist then does the same with a 3rd. And so on. Since all 9 scientists are in different fields, they must explain what they do in simpler terms than they would with a colleague. But for a lay person, the science can be challenging. Also, since each scientist meets with only 2 out of a possible 8, I wonder what kinds of conversations other matches would have yielded.

Nothing learned. Just watching scientists rub other scientists' egos, nothing educational. Also nothing going film wise. "All people pay attention to is the height of the best part and the ending. So the ending has to be really good" they say in the movie, just to end with a cut to black out of nowhere. Really directionless, and far enough from the science to not be bored but also to not learn anything.

covers the work of various scientists without getting into too much depth on anything, neither terrible nor especially informative
