I've been streaming a steady stream of steaming crap so my balance point might be a bit off, but I enjoyed this thoroughly. Each story has something to offer and the music interludes are bizarre enough to watch and long enough to not have to while you refill your drink.

The stories are all really good, simple but good, and the wraparound is dumb but fun. Definitely one of the more recommended horror anthologies out there, even though its attempts at humor resemble a Munsters TV special more than a proper horror comedy like Evil Dead 2 or The Re-Animator.

some very funny moments and an unhinged lip syncing performance. the low budget costumes don't really detract from the vibe

Oof, no thanks. A promising cast and basic premise falls completely flat. If I didn't dislike the music so much (this is basically a musical by the way) then I might be able to give the comedic elements a little more credit.

This feels like a low-budget made-for-TV movie or special. Too many lame songs for my taste.

Especial Vincent Prince Darkflix TV.

Worth a watch.

If it wasn't so inadequately put together, there would be too many bizarre aspects - the cheap monster costumes, Vincent Price's ill-advised monologue - to add into this review to recommend it. The final story - when it becomes much more macabre and seems to have borrowed its music from an Italian genre film - does make it worth seeing, but the scrappy nature of the whole work sadly takes its toll on the quality of the entire thing.

They say you shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I wish could resurrect these actors just so I can punch them in the face for making this turd!

Price, Carradine, and Pleasence alone make this one a must for fright fans.
