The Monster

It has a little bit of atmosphere but at its heart its a comedy not a horror. Chaney fans may be disappointed as the screentime is dedicated to the mishaps of naive Johnny Arthur. I enjoyed it even still...the innocent humor was enjoyable. There's an outdoor sequence during a storm involving tight rope walking and some other acrobatics that was a high point for me.

the man of a thousand faces lives up to his reputation and puts on one of the scariest make up jobs i've seen in a long time. sadly, that only lasts for a short while, and the rest of the movie has got almost nothing in it of worth.
